Every member is required to do 15 Hours of Volunteer work at the club

There are a number of places to help around the club even if it’s as simple as serving on a committee, doing clerical work or as involved as boat and building repair. We will supply a task list if needed. This is to encourage members to help out as the club is a member run club. We are trying to avoid paying for outside help so we can continue to keep the membership dues low.

Total points expected per season: 15pts

(1pt/hr)  General labor items:

Points given for hours worked: 1 point per hour of general labor.

• Keeping sheds clean & organized (RC shed is private and not included)

• Organizing life vests

• Repairing boats

• Washing club boats

• Gardening

• Picking up garbage outside and straightening inside

• Painting, general maintenance (see something broken-fix it)

• Making repairs or improvements on house or grounds

Additional Points

• (1pt)................Garbage Removal- 1 point

• (1pt/hr)..........Working Special Programs (Try a Sail Day, Regatta) -1 point per hour

• (1pt/hr)..........Event set up and breakdown can do one or the other or working the event. 1 point per hour

• (1pt)................Attending boat licensing or CPR Class 1 point per class

• (5pts).............RC-5 points per member on crew for each race

• (2pts).............Housecleaning 2 points per time

• (2pts).............Bringing a dish to event 2 points

• (3pts).............Stocking the kitchen: paper plates, plastic utensils, napkins and bowls

• (5pts)............Additional work Parties 5 points per parties worked

• (5pts)............Club opening and closing work parties are part of the points program 5 points each

NOTE: If it's a couple, each person earns the points.

For example, a couple attends the work party, that is 10 points.

A binder is kept on the desk in the clubhouse, please use it to keep track of points 

​

At the end of the season, you will be billed for unworked points at a rate of $20 per point. We are trying to make this easy for all members; please contact the commodore or vice commodore if you are unsure of how you can help.
